One more point about the recent Gamespot article:

My "source" at TDFX pointed out that an 8MB Banshee board doesn't really support 1024x768 mode. In that mode, there is barely enough memory left over for textures - thus the performance issue that GameSpot reported at that resolution. Adding more memory should go a long ways towards improving the performance of the higher resolution modes (duh!). Keep in mind that you need two Voodoo2 cards in SLI mode to get that same 1024x768 resolution.

Banshee poll:

What system OEM will announce Banshee first? Who would you prefer?

My guess is Compaq.

My order of preference is Dell, Compaq, Gateway, Micron and HP.
