Tom:

I agree with everything that you said...just can't tell if it's my head or my heart that is doing the agreeing. Very nice to see IDTI rise as the market fell......kind of makes you want to see the market tank eh:-) Insider purchases is my last bastion of hope....these guys may be a little poorer (me too) but I can't believe they don't know exactly what they are doing (investment wise)

I've held my small position since the recent drop - my thinking is about the same; that the damage is already done and eventually the semis will rise out of the ashes taking even the stocks that still stink along with them. The execution thing is still a big questions as IDT has misjudged the market several times in recent history and then failed to follow through even on those less than awe inspiring plans. Len Perham fessed up and said that they should have had the WC 1 in production a year before they did and then ramped quickly in speed grades. Now they have refocused their efforts to get the WC 2 ramped to higher speeds and a 12 pipeline execution unit out by early next year. IDT has dropped plans for an integrated unit or doing anything with their own 3D graphics engine capability. Instead they have begun talks with at least one advanced 3D graphics OEM to integrate the WC 2 core into their 3D chip. The WC 2 core will become very small - 58 sq mm as they go to the next shrink. The speed grades will also ramp to around 310 Mhz (kinda odd). At least it should be a solid 300 and may go to 333 quickly. This part should be absolutely ideal for laptops and other portable devices because of its high performance and low power compared to competitors parts. The 12 pipeline parts will be designed to ramp to much higher frequencies to compete head-to-head with Intel & AMD on speed grades. This will come out at 400 Mhz with bumps to 600 or even 800 Mhz. They won't be going to copper metalization very soon but won't need to for at least another 18-24 months.

IDT still has a chance to show they can come thru. With the cost cutting they are doing, the effect of some product success would be more dramatic. This aint a rocket ship and probably won't be for a while, but at these prices it looks a bit more tempting.

Thank you tom,

though I don't take pleasure in calling it, I think I was the first to say that idti had the possibility of going to the $5 real estate range.
Of course I was laughed at like when I first stripped in front of a lady but of course looks can be deceiving. Just kidding. I can't even bare to see myself naked let alone someone else seeing me naked! :-)

Hopefully IDTI will finally do something right. Like maybe get a new CEO and/or let someone buy them out. Or maybe make a product that soemone wants :-)
