LOD, stick to Dell. You are way out of your league on this one. You have mixed the most trivial things together and assumed thay are true and dangerous. For example, "travelgate". If true it is no worse than patronage. That doesn't make it right, but this is not the same kind of thing Nixon did. Vince Foster? Give me a break -- there is no evidence of anything oither than the mad imaginings of Scaife -- not one iota of credible truth of a murder. Monica Lewinsky???? you must be kidding . Even if true it simply doesn't matter. This kind of thing is a smokescreen to bring down a president by any means possible by people who couldn't do it by the ballot box.

Webster Hubble??? What has that to do with Clinton? And in any event, even if Clinton was engaged in all kinds of nefarious deeds before he became president this stuff pales in comparison to Nixon. And the man has every right to defend himself by whatever legal means exist.

I think that the campaign funding situation stinks! So go rail at Gingrich for stopping bipartisan legislation to close a bunch of soft money loopholes. Allegations of election wrongdoing and influence peddling have been made. This is serious and important stuff. It needs to be vigorously investigated. But this kind of alleged wrong-doing is much more serious than the rest of the nonsense you trotted out. So far all I've seen in the papers is that there is a complete lack of evidence to support the notion that Clinton sold secrets in return for election money (and I've followed this story very closely). Have you seen any evidence, not conjecture, that is different?

Don't count 'bubba' out-He will be BACK

LoD:
This is indeed a 'minor' set back for the Prez but 'they' have been trying hard to oust him for the last 6 years so without much success. If I remember correctly this whole thing started even before he became President but still got elected to the chagrin of many. This man's 'staying power' is amazing and this everyone agrees, both Republican and Democrats.

I am not debating whether the issue at hand is right or wrong but who can withstand such intense scrutiny? The fall out from all this 'goings-on' certainly is going to affect the quality of our future elected officials which is not a desirable outcome if you ask me.

Funny it is the Democrats who was staunch proponents for the institution of Independent Council, they asked for it and they got it.<gg>

I don't like this a bit.

Since we are talking politics, let me list these names as leaders of nations:

Pol Plot, Ngo Dhien Diem, Ferdinand Marcos, Suharto, Mao Tse Tung, Stalin, Hitler, Mobutu, Idi Amin, Mussolini, Ayatollah Khomeni, Saddam Hussien, Muamar Kahddafi.

Folks, I take Clinton, Nixon, Reagan, Bush, LBJ any time over them. We are living in the greatest country in the world. If any of us have not realized that, please visit those countries, and then come back where we will appreciate our Star Stripes more and more, with or without Monica Lewinsky affairs.

I did not vote for Clinton, but he is our president. Has there been any president who was free of criticism? Not that I recall. Clinton has done a good job as a our leader, domestically and abroad. Leave him alone. If Hillary does not mind, why should we?

Dell is under this cloud of uncertainties about the occupant of the White House.

Thank God that we live in the best country in the world!!!!

Good Luck to All.

Paul.
