The sudden drop off at the close surprised me. I've watched this stock closely over the last month, and it has tracked (and in some cases led)the Dow intraday very closely with respect to program buying. When we got buying this afternoon, the Dow rallied from down 170 to down 80. Amazon had held up well during the big drop and was 3 points above it's morning low but then had a steep sell off and made a new low in the last 20 minutes of the day while the dow was rallying. Yesterday, Yhoo and Amzn led the move back, but not today. Not sure what to make of it.

Also remember what got this rally going around June 15? The announcement that they were adding cd's to their offerings. Checked out the other online music sellers lately? NTKI and CDNW, One made a new low today, the other got close. This after announcing better sales growth than Amazon last week.
