>>>CKFR MUST take advantage of this thru their Intuit relationship. The question is, how? Quicken or QuickBooks is a Tool which makes us much, much more productive using our DeskTop Computer Systems to manage our financial lives. Banks by and large, for what ever reason they may have think they must be in control....brokers don't seem to have those same hang ups. Maybe it's because of the invasion of 'Discount' Internet Brokers which have sprung up and taken their market share, they now have too play ball with the consumer? If you look at the listing of participating financial institutions;intuit.com Brokers seem to be the most receptive, and are scheduled to come on line in the near future. You know BitWizard came on here not too long ago and pitched a bitch about a bank and a credit card or a checking account or something. I had a bitch too....I wanted to sing up with Chase to download my credit card transactions into Quicken98. I got a call back and was told that I'd have to open up a Checking account or have a CD with them in order to do it, that was like last winter...I don't know if things have changed since then. I'm not even going to bother to check again. I came off with this feeling; I'm already a customer....I just want to simply my life just a tincy wincy bit...so I have more time with Family & Friends. If the service would have been available without strings...I might have increased my relationship with Chase because they were easier to deal with then the Bank I already was dealing with. But you know what? THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. The Bank which makes it easiest for us using the DeskTop and WebTop stands to gain big time....and not just on the 'first wave'. See Family and Friends ask us; "I know you are doing it, how do you do it and who you doing it with?"....and you know what WE TELL THEM. I expect many, many more 'Discount' Banks ala NetB@nk to give them a run for their, our, money in the near future. I think the Brokerage Paradigm with repeat itself in the Banking Industry spurring rapid change and market shift....to my knowledge their are 3 or 4 more 'pure' internet Banks coming on line soon. But Benny might have a better handle on that then me.
