Jim: I won't ask your wife, and I hope you are wrong. Yes I agree with you that Wall street is VERY unforgiving of companies who allow EPS to slide Hopefully in this case it will be different since the drop in EPS is due to the dilution. If one would just look past the EPS it is obvious that numbers are much better than a year ago. But you are probably right - the bottom line is that everyone looks at the EPS and compares it to last year's. Hopefully there will be no more dilution and more profit and we will see those EPS numbers going up!
