I agree, I do not necessarily see MO gaining all that much buying UST or any other co. at the moment. In fact, I'd be more pleased if they concentrated on what they already have: The international food (and beer) business could be improved, debt could be repaid, stocks bought back and dividend raised, corporate image improved via "social sponsoring" of cultural events and youth rehab programs, etc.

Plenty of opportunities to increase shareholder value even without any acquisition, IMHO.
