I received a response from GM today, following an e-mail as to where
I can find a local reseller for Portico. Here is the response:

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Bruce,

Thank you for your interest in General Magic and Portico. We are very
excited about the release of the Portico service, available through cellular
resellers across the nation July 30. We currently do not have any resellers
in Florida, but we do have two resellers in Georgia. The information on those is as follows:

Preferred Communications
1995 Windy Hill Road Ste 6
Smyrna, GA 30080
(770)803-0747
(770)803-9309 FAX

Southeast Two-Way
4098 La Vista Rd.
Tucker, GA 30084
(404)298-0426

We are rapidly expanding into all states, with our service becoming
available everywhere quite soon. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me at (408) 774-4335. Thanks again.

Sincerely,

Christian Scott
General Magic

Note that GM indicates that they're continuing to expand into new
territories. Thus, I expect the number of resellers to continue to
increase.

The fact that the price of the stock hasn't spurted is not a bad
thing, IMHO. The traders anticipating a big runup will get out (this
may have happened to some extent today) and the long-term investors
will gradually start getting in, starting with Portico's release.
As revenues ramp up, the downside becomes more limited and the
potential upside increases.
