<<It's not about hate. Why do we need a faulted President? Is there some inadequacy that's cured within us, when we pick an untrustworthy
womanizer, with extremely bad judgement, to be President >>

but what about George? didn't he sleep here and there..... c'mon folks, just about every president/politician has done the same thing - the only difference is, the country used to at least have enough respect for the rest of the country and world to keep these things a tad more silent.... now it's the makings of a "made for tv, prime time, movie on cinemax....".

i'm not crazy about clinton either - but he's not doing / hasn't done that others haven't... and no that doesn't make it right - it's just reality. just because you're president, doesn't mean you're a saint.... or a priest.... ha ha ha

besides, there's the whole presidential election / market fluctuation theory anyway .. and it's about time for that to kick in about now... with two years to go till the election.....

LD,

********OT****************

I submit that you are yourself faulted in many respects.
Perhaps, your inability to see and tolerate the inevitable flaws in others is itself the worst kind of flaw. Peoples' adequacy is never as absolute as you seem to think, nor is your own.

When you can see your own flaws and judge yourself then perhaps you will be ready to judge others in a more discerning way.

You have found the president guilty without knowledge of the evidence and forgiven his detractors their faults and abuses of power which are greater offenses than the presumed offenses of the president.

It takes a lifetime of work to eliminate 10% of our faults.

I believe the bible says about this matter

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

<<OFF TOPIC>> LOD, you may be long on Dell, but that doesn't mean we don't have our differences.

First of all, Clinton is innocent until proven guilty. Monica may have been lying from the start -- young people sometimes do that to attract attention. Clinton is our president and at least deserves the same respect we would give anyone accused of anything prior to trial -- the benefit of the doubt.

If he is guilty, I don't care. If they did it, she should have kept her mouth shut. If they didn't, she never should have opened it. What goes on between two consenting adults is not my concern, nor should it be yours. As for the issue of lying, it must first be proven. Even if he is lying, do you blame him? Even then, who cares? What's he supposed to say? What would you say if you had done it?

Clinton has been good for this country. He's kept the radicals on both side of the aisle in check. That, in and of itself, is a tremendous feat. We won't mention the budget deficit, which ballooned under Reagan and is now going into surplus. But we aren't here to argue ethics or politics. Let's talk about Dell.

This is the second time in a week you've wandered off-topic and taken some of the thread with you, the first being about the unfortunate incident at the Capital. Let's keep this on topic. Enough said. Please don't reply unless you have a Dell-related post. This will be my final post on this subject.
