schwab has one, I don't know the symbol tho.
The royce CEFs don't track it exactly as the S&P smallcap index has more tech and growth stocks.
Now, if the CBOE started S&P smallcap futures, it would divert some of the attention to smaller names (and increase volatility, of course!)
Maybe somebody with CBOE connections will see this and take a hint..
if they can create consumer bankruptcy futures, they can create options on the smallcap indx. -g-
BTW- what I see is random selling of smallcaps in small lots, then a big buyer comes in at a low price. It's hard for fund managers to get enough shares to make it worth their while, so I'm guessing they could keep the russell underwater long enough to drown most small investors.
