Did anyone catch this morning's Squawk Box interview with Peter Eliades on cycles? Eliades maintains that we are coming up to a major double top in August. Then the whole market caves in. He illustrates with a chart of clear M/W's (take your pick). Mark Haynes chirps in that it looks so simple so why aren't we all rich. Eliades backtracks that, well, the charts aren't to scale in time or price.

The discussion moves on to 'top' predictions at other times that have actually been bottoms (observation by Haynes). Eliades responds that technically you can't predict whether it's going to be a top or a bottom, BUT it will be a TURNING point.

So, how do you know what to believe, asks Haynes. It depends on the cycles and on who is predicting it, answers Eliades. So, then, we have it from the Prophet's mouth: if Eliades says it's so, you can believe it.

Strange interview, but good questions from Mark Haynes. I guess if you're a cyclist, it told you something. If you're a skeptic, it was just some more 'psychic' stuff.

If I have misinterpreted any responses here, my apologies in advance. I'm recalling this after it's 12+ hours old.
