Steve, I agree with you on the buttons. I use AOL and have no real complaints. My family enjoys their features more then I do. I spend most of my time on the net. However I like the browser better then the microsoft browser I use at work. It doesn't allow me to cut and paste links in an easy fashion. If I purchased a new PC I would down load the AOL4 beta and use it. Glad you are happy with the machines. The Presario I purchased in late 95 just keeps on working. Oops did wear a modem card out and blew my software trying to figure out what was wrong. Works great with the 56k replacement card.

I don't know whether this is a good thing for CPQ today, but I know that policy will bring me back to buy more machines in the near future

CPQ seems to be maintaining a 4 week price protection in the consumer space. this allows retailers to cover situations such as yours, while still keeping inventory at or below 4 weeks (since the retailers will try to be sure all the machines they get are sold in the 'protected' window.
