On the up side, they add credibility to the overall VoIP concept, and convergence in general, something the smaller caps have had to struggle against up until now. In the other direction, of course, it narrows the universe of potential in absolute terms, that the smaller players can penetrate, since the larger caps are likely to take commensurate share. Overall, I'd say these were good signs, however, for all concerned. And perhaps one of the smaller caps may emerge as another CSCO. Very slim shot, tho.
