Whoops! Zoltan you slipped and left the dolt's mistake in. Here's the correction:

>>Reagan turned this country from the greatest creditor nation on earth into the greatest debtor nation on earth. $5 trillion debt. That is and always will be the Reagan legacy...

Wrong. (I know what you mean even though you can't express yourself well) FDR turned the US into the greatest debtor nation on Earth and still left us in a position where we had to fight the Cold War. That Cold War cost us far more than the accumulated deficits under Reagan, which were greatly increased by a free-spending Democrat House. In any event, FDR's deficits were vastly greater in real terms, and did not end the economic failure of the New Deal.

Then there is the whole Social Security mess that FDR left to future generations to solve. The actuarial deficits in that scheme drawf his previous record.

>>And ending the Cold War will spell the doom of all of us. Creates complacency and eventually one of these fanatic freaks will start lobbing nukes around and that will be real helpful to the summer crops..

Then why did Clinton sell all that technology to China for illegal campaign cash? That led both India and Pakistan to go nuclear. Just what did he sell Indonesia for that nation's illegal investment in his campaign?

Thank you Ron, for ending the Cold War and giving us the peace dividend. Hopefully any surplus will be returned to the people and not spent on wasteful Democrat vote-buying.

>>Afghanistan had as much to do with the end of the Cold War as Reagan did, and that didn't cost us a penny [that is, on the books!].

Wrong, dopey. Reagan gave the rebels the Stinger missiles which won that conflict. They weren't free and were a small but integral part of Reagan's successful strategy to pressure the Soviet Empire into collapse.

Here's the Reagan legacy:

FDR: By the time WW II was over, any debt created in and around the depression was eliminated by the Post war boom. In 1979, we were the largest creditor nation in the world. Once again, your Republican hypocrisy seems to distort the facts.

In any event, FDR's deficits were vastly greater in real terms, and did not end the economic failure of the New Deal.
The problems of a depression were vastly greater than the problems of the pre-Reagan era. Have you ever seen unemployment of 25% in your lifetime? I don't think so.

Then there is the whole Social Security mess that FDR left to future generations to solve. The actuarial deficits in that scheme drawf <sic> his previous record.
And wasn't it Reagan and the Republicans that decided it was time to go ahead and spend the future Social Security cash laying around to pay down debt. Swell idea, and the beginning of the end, for Social Security that is. Of course, we still have that debt problem. Say what you want about FDR -- all debt problems were solved by Jan 1946. Here we are 18 years later still grappling with the Raygun legacy.

>>Afghanistan had as much to do with the end of the Cold War as Reagan did, and that didn't cost us a penny [that is, on the books!].

Really bright eyes? Afghanistan covert aid started in 1979, under Carter. Reagan couldn't spell Afghanistan like Quayle couldn't spell POTATOE. "We begin bombing in 5 minutes." Your knowledge of Real Politik is obviously blinded by your political sentiment.

So much for "education."

What do you say we take this somewhere else and get back to what we are all really interested in [ASND]? Personally, I'm trying to decide whether you are really an open-minded individual or whether you just have a hole in your head.
