scrapple is parts of the hog and horse? that are not good enough to make sausage with...
ears, etc.. mushed into a square, sort of like head cheeze, except the "gel" is pur fat.. they fry it in a cast iron skillet and give you this cholestorol laden crap for breakfast..
glad i wasn't a farmer... i would truly have become one of the children of the corn....
btw reading another book.

not too bad.. a lot of true stuff, market wise...

Okra is one of the best dang vegetables ever. Cut it up in 1/4 inch cross-sections, shake it in corn-meal then deep-fry in bacon grease. I could eat it all day.

As for scrapple, just like it sounds. In PA, they sweep the floors of pork processing plants, press the "scraps" into a loaf and fry 'em up. Serve with eggs and smoother in Syrup.

Heck, anything will taste good served that way ;-)

Taxi - If you are ever driving in the south the Cracker Barrel's are a safe place to get good (obviously not great) Okra.
