kenl: the earnings will matter. losses will be large and debt service will be a continued drain. perhaps you heard crown capital ask about the balance sheet and burn rate. that seems to be where folks are focusing here. hard to blame them. even with the s3 i think we have some serious going concern issues here. i don't think they get a whole lot of size sold at prices in the double digits, and it still doesn't make it a good business or alter their profitabilty. it will be interesting to see whether the insiders sell their personal shares first, or try to raise money for the company. that should provide a good litmus test as to management's character.
also: this s-3 shows you there is no buyout coming. if there were a deal in the works, why raise money and tank your share price? there's enough cash for a couple of quarters (then they start defaulting on debt). if the bidding is so hot and heavy, they should be just picking a new boss for six months from now, not trying to find a way to stay in business... just a thought.
