Technology Stocks : Westell WSTL -- Ignore unavailable to you. Want to Upgrade?

Neal,

My understanding is that the switch has several parts. One is the feed to the customer (you and me). This is currently voice or modem data traffic. In the future this gets upgraded to DSL with a WSTL board. The other part of the switch (the actual switch bit) is where the anymedia upgrade comes. Anymedia sorts out voice and data and handles (switches) them differently. This avoids the overload that 3 hr internet sessions have caused on voice circuits designed for voice calls of a few minutes.

I am assuming that the WSTL boards can upgrade Anymedia and non-Anymedia switches.

My hope is that the business with Lucent gets going before Lucents next upgrade happens. If WSTL don't get any business before that next redesign then their future existence looks uncertain. If they do get business then they are in the driving seat for developing the next upgrade.

I think that the Lucent opportunity is key to WSTLs success.

Just my humble opinion, any other views out there?

<Any newly installed switch i.e. AnyMedia is a lucent solution.>

I think where IP is used then it would be a lucent solution.....

<But the wstl products will host???>

Not sure what they mean here but if Wstl will host even if its an IP solution then this is better than my first thoughts.
