Hi Floyd...

(Offthread to the rest)...

Am leaving NY today with my youngest son so that I can go cross country with him by car. Will arrive "home" on late August 3rd, after a short stop at the Grand Canyon. Am checking in from the road every evening, and am carrying my "trusty" cellphone, so I am not missing anything.

No new news to report. But, I expect to enjoy a week of sunshine.

Take care of yourself!

(OT) Dear Floyd, I am disappointed in you for that comment (in jest?) about "doing him in." In fact, I spent time over the weekend with my 18 year old nephew who is making the car trip and discussed pointers about how to enjoy a close car ride over a several day period, including remembering to make conversation, remembering NOT to play all those horrible rock band CDs, but remembering to let the elder member have At LEAST 1/2 hour a day when he can play his Billie Holiday CDs, etc. Eighteen months ago when I visited Las Vegas I spent the week encouraging my three nephews to take their dad on the links, to talk with him etc. instead of spending all their time on the town.

Get my drift? The elder member makes me out to be a person who wants to drive him off a cliff. Not true at all. Ask the nephews.

And no, I don't understand either why these gestures are so misunderstood.

Regards,
Ariella
