Confluence and all,
I would suggest that all who are interested follow the flow of events in Angola at
africanews.org
This a news service that gathers from many sources. That means the stories will be at least 24 hours old. In most cases they will direct you to the source newspaper or agency if you need information more quickly. They do not publish on weekends.
Then there is woza.co.za
This is a large site and has a section on mining news. It's a bit slow but worth the wait.

Hello Confluence,

I would like to make a particular comment with respect to the contents of your recent post to Gull.
De Beers is very selective in what information they decide to release for public consumption, especially press releases. Any news release is carefully compiled to avoid any misunderstanding, the paucity thereof is self evident.
If De Beers states that they have to complete technical studies then that is precisely what they mean and intend doing. There is no evidence ever to the contrary.

Regards,

INFOMAN.
