MER is too slow... this should have been published about a month ago...

anyway, yes IBM will move up... in my opinion to 140 and from there to 200... also be on the look out for a stock buyback program again and/or a dividend increase and/or a split....

they don't have as much cash as before the LOTS purchase, but they still have enough to warrant one or more of the moves listed above...

remember... gerstner gets most of his money from the price of IBM and he is under shareholder pressure to get IBM behaving like other techs...

also take note of the p/e on IBM ... people want IBM's price up by expanding the p/e... but i think gerstner has a different plan on getting the price up... that is..... increasing earnings....

i have read much about IBM and they are present in all the important tech areas this is a result of gerstner's turn around plan from about 5 or 6 years ago.... in short, things are just now coming to fruition...

that was just my opinion and i could be wrong....
