I am hoping everyone will read this post: I just received 10 Brainforest TCBG pouches by Fed Ex today. I requested them shortly after the cc., and Scott and Jon got on it right away. Impressed. Let me tell you that I am totally amazed at the product. Residing in Mississauga Ontario (20 min. outside of Toronto), I have not seen anything like this before, honestly. The packaging is very aesthetically pleasing, and stands out from anything else in my fridge (that includes tetra packs for the kids, and smaller juice cartons). I have a young son who is 7, and he took to the package immediately. He looked at the simple instructions on the back (in clear diagram and written form) and opened up the pouch. No problem, and NO SPILL! He liked the drink as well and asked why I never bought this before. I too opened up another pouch and drank it, and the Brainforest I have to say is pretty damn good. Not that I doubted this at all before, but this pouch design is simply revolutionary for the beverage industry. The straw sits inside and protrudes ever so slightly after ripping the score on the package. Very easy to drink. My son proceeded to take another and went outside with it and he was literally the envy of all the rest of the kids. They wanted to know what it was, and thought the packaging was "really cool". Waiting for my wife to come home later to get her opinion. I read an interesting article in the latest Newsweek which makes mention about the soft drink wars and the recent acquisition of Tropicana (Seagrams) by Pepsi co. Newsweek goes on to say "Liquid refreshment is a hot market. And the best gains, come when you take a commodity drink with low profit margins and apply the rules of soft drinks: heavy brand marketing, jazzy packaging and omnipresent distribution... the next candidate for this transformation is OJ. It has to be made hyperconvenient. One change experts suggest: take OJ out of those small square cartons that don't open easily, don't stay closed and don't fit in cup holders..." It's almost as if the writer of this article took a look at what TCBG is actually doing. Folks, we've got something here imo., so don't let the naysayers, hypesters, or the MM's stear you wrong. I am damn excited!
