Fiberman - the Foolish post states "I personally think the 3Dfx (Nasdaq:TDFX - news) is an investment that holds little chance of outperforming the market, given that the history of graphics chips companies holds no examples of companies that have built sustainable competitive advantages."

Of course I am no Fool :) - but I do disagree with this particular Foolish assessment - history is not a good predictor of future trends, especially in the field of high tech. My personal belief is that TDFX will succeed where others have failed by taking their technology lead and parlaying it into market share and software support. They are the ONLY 3-D accelerator on the market that can support EVERY game that is accelerated for 3-D that there is for the P.C. The number of games that have the TDFX logo on them is growing monthly. This is a market that has not even begun to grow to its full potential (IMHO). Not to show disrespect for the Foolish ones, but I really disagree with them on this one.

Regards.
