Steve would be Steve Goldman, head trader at Yamner & Co. Yamner is phone based regional brokerage firm. See his thread exchange2000.com. His viewpoint is that using a broker who actively works orders in the clients' interest is superior to using a broker that routes orders to MM for order flow compensation or the vast majority of online brokerages. However he acknowledges that CyberTrader and MBTrading are probably the way to go for online trading. His interest is to compare and contrast the two systems with each other and also with the systems available to him as a professional trader at a brokerage firm. It is true that he would more than likely say that for the vast majority of people that a phone-based brokerage like his is best. But he would also do a decent job of comparing and contrasting the two systems against each other and telling us what the strengths and weaknesses of the two online systems are.

As for funk, he has made plenty of good posts on trading and appears to be usually a decent fellow, it seems that he is over-enamored with MBtrading and has some kind of grudge against CyberTrader and Darren. I dunno why that is.

"Steve" is Steve Goldman. "funk" is funk. funk trades with MB and has a serious problem with Phil (PRB). Ross is an employee at MB, maybe an owner, I don't know, and it was the butler with the candlestick in the Library.
