Sorry but I cannot agree with you about BBS. I have lost ten's of
thousands on the BBS stocks, but there was not one that I could not have sold at a fat profit. NER/SHO were sideswiped by energy prices
as well as a failure to meet production targets. MDI was hit by the
depression in commodities and are still profitable. Goran has done
very well. ERHC has great potential and was also hit by the collapse
in oil. BBS is not a penny stock promotion! It researches microcap
companies and select's those with sound management, a good product and
big potential over several years. We are in a dead market for small cap stocks. Look at
Q Media on the TSE. 50-60 million in revenues and will earn .35-.40
a share. Trading near/at 52 wk. low of 2.00. A PE of 5 for a company
with no debt and one that has doubled revenues every year for years.
It's not just Laurel's picks that are suffering.

I agree 100%.
It seems all bad news is treated as good news with bbs.
Face the facts yorkton will unload shares above or around the offering price and be able to play for free with the warrants.
I like the auction platform but you people are getting carried away.
Onsale reported sales yesterday ($58.6 million for the quarter, which over 4 quarters would equal around $235 million)yet it only trades at a market cap of two(2)X sales. Even if BII makes true with $30 million for the year, 2 X sales would not give it a much higher share price then it has now (adjusting for FULL dilution).

No, I am not a shorter. On the sidelines for now.

*Off Topic* Bidding on BayStreet.
Following the threads that exist for several stocks introduced to many by B on B, it's obvious that a lot of us receive and read Laurel's writings with interest. As an individual investor I find her research quite valuable. I have made large sums, and lost large sums (by not selling when I should/could have). I think it's fair to say that had any of us bought when some of these companies like BII.com were introduced and sold near their highs, we'd be much, much richer. I thank Laurel for finding these gems and believe it's up to each of us as individuals to make or lose money with them.
Personally, I like making money.
Ray

OT/ BBS
Completely agree with you. BBS presents companies as long-term investments that really don't have the wherewithal to make the long haul. She continues to promote her fledglings...more like a social worker for the management of micro caps than a hard-nosed investor looking out for her client's interests. Her stocks go up when she writes about them in the Investor's Digest, then watch out below.

Ok. OK. I am a BBS subscriber. And as the editor continues to remind its readers - you have GOT to do your own work before investing.
Sure, BBS was oil-oriented - but don't tell me nobody else was at the same time.

I am a happy holder of GORAN (TSE and NASDAQ)which trades at a PE of 9.5 and has a ROE of 25% at last count.

Re BII - of course I expect some clients at Yorkie will short the stock to take a 20 cent profit for no cash outlay( not much less than at $1.55 IMO) and hold the warrants. JHC - I am getting tired of dumb f--k negative Canadians. This is a small, Canadian, typically under-funded company. It has just managed to raise capital at what in hind sight is not the best of times - but it does allow the company to get on with its business. Why are you so negative about that? What would make you happy - an IPO on Monica ?

If you want to bash BBS - do it to their home page. If you are a dissatisfied customer of BBS - then vote with your pocket book - walk over to some other publication, the choices are yours. To the thread, excuse me, but I want this type of third party bashing OFF this thread. Don.
