Dear Shalom: Here are some scriptures which at least provide some support for the notion of a rapture at some point prior to the destruction of the anti-Christ. I begin with God's promise in 1 Thess 5:9, "For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ." Next to the 14th chapter of Revelation. This chapter has an interesting sequence of events. In verses 1 through 5 the 144,000 who were first identified in Chapter 7, appear to have completed their mission of evangelizing the earth and are now in the Lamb's (Jesus') presence. Then in verses 6 through 13 the three angels proclaim the Gospel to the earth and warn about God's fury which will be poured out on all who take the mark of the beast. Then in verses 14 through 16 the earth is harvested, which I take to mean that the Christians are delivered from earth and taken to be with the Lord. Finally, in verses 17 through 20 God's wrath is poured out in the form of an angel with a sickle and "They were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses' bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia." v.20 Putting it together, God promises his people that they will not suffer his wrath. True to his Word, Revelation tells us that after proper evangelization of the earth and after warnings from God's angels, that those who are Christians shall leave the earth prior to the time that God pours out His wrath on those who, contrary to the angels' warnings, took the mark of the beast. Thus, these verses at least suggest that Christians will not be around when God pours out his wrath on the earth. In other words, they will be raptured. There are other verses as well, several of which you addressed in your posts. I may address some of them later, but for now, I look forward to hearing what you have to say about this analysis. In Christ, Tom
