1 metric ton = 1000 kg, therefore plus minus one square meter in a metric ton depending on the substance. i.e one liter = 0.001 cubic meter. Do not take my word for it though, have not done math for some time. 1 meter = 1.093 yards

That would depend on the specific gravity or density of the material. For example quartz has a specific gravity of 2.65 meaning it is 2.65 times heavier than water, therefore one m cubed has 2.65 metric tons or 2650 Kg.

3000 pounds of gravel to the cubic yard.

This translates to a tonnage factor of 18 cu feet to the short ton.

1 square metre is 35.31 cubic feet So it should
weigh 3920 lbs.

This is 1.778 metric tonnes or 1.96 short tons.

Metric tonne is 2204 lbs approx.

Short ton is 2000 lbs.

Grams per tonne is the same as parts per million. A gram per metric tonne is equivalent of .029167 troy ounces per short ton or 1 ppm.

A troy ounce is approx 31.1029 grams. There are 12 Troy ounces in a troy pound and there are 29176 Troy ounces in the short ton of 2000 lbs.
