Jim - I think they are talking about the view from the customer's perspective. That leaves profitability up to the vendor's execution model. I have my doubts as to GTW's ability to execute. CPQ has a shot if they can rationalize all of the many pieces they have at the moment... My personal view is that CPQ and Dell will expand in different directions and cut pieces out of different market segments. Dell has a lot of running room with their current model. CPQ does also but they need to start running, the clock is ticking.
