I tried and called Datek but still no shares shorted today. The last time I tried w/ KTEL the same problem then a couple days later a big crash :>(

Damon, Thanks for telling us. The one 'Thing' here that has bothered me is a lack of candor.
I'm not suggesting that the investors here aren't honest, it's just no one want's to admit their losses.

E*Trade is sort of a hit or miss when shorting shares - most of the time they have trouble shorting high-demand stocks.

I got some last week though. I suppose it depends on who is covering and when.

I hear it is best to try either first thing in the morning or right near the close. That's what Fidelity suggest when shares are hard to find.

OTOH that's a lot of short interest.
