FWIW, Baan - which is an ERP vendor that acquired a front office solution (Aurum) - announced today, some avg numbers, but in the CC they expressed strength going forward in front office.

I believe the statement made was,
"We are gaining market share and not losing it, as the only ERP with web-enabled front-office. "

So, for Baan/Aurum the thin client model seems to be working out (I have heard the same from Orcl).

Garet, I will listen to the replay tomorrow. Even though results are right on target, it looks like someone was disappointed and dumped some shares today. Too bad that the other beta customers could not be named, I think we would be feeling much more enthusiastic knowing who they are. I was hoping for a price rise today, but given the weak market we may languish until more good news comes out.

<<The loss came from the Co-Cam acquisition and the substantial expenditures on Netgain. >>

There was no reason they had to take a loss on Co-Cam. That's bad management when a money losing company is making money losing acquisitions. For those who've been on this thread since that acquisition was made, they (and I belive Roger too?) was predicting that Co-Cam would be immediately accretive to earnings. Since Co-Cam was just a distributor, FSTW could have cancelled their contract for poor performance and sold the distribution rights to another UK company for a profit.

Also, a few hundred thousand dollars of Netgain revenue in Q3 is much weaker than we would have expected given the guidance in Q1. This company better start executing.
