tippet:

You certainly seem to like stating "and don't tell me....".

Obviously you do know the facts - Gateway wins numerous customer service and quality awards and has the #1 repeat buyer loyalty of any brand.

Your repetitive habit of stating "I hate this company and don't tell me I'm wrong, even if it is factual" is indicative of blind investing (or shorting).

Gateway, as well as every other computer manufacturer, has customer service and quality issues at times. I don't dispute that you may have been the victim of one, or that people you know have as well.

But personally, I have bought 1000's of computers in my life for companies I have worked for. I have had issues with every brand out there. Dell, Gateway, Compaq, Micron, Acer, HP, Packard Bell, - none of them achieves 100% quality or customer satisfaction.

Add to that the obvious disparities in user knowledge and use (or abuse) of their systems, and every person I know can give anecdotal comments about some problem they've had or seen with every company out there.

So again, we have this broad and unsupported statement that "their products are of inferior quality". Please give it a rest. In nationally recognized tests, Gateway performs very well.

I don't question what you have experienced, but I suppose its from an extremely small sample. studies of larger samples indicate they have a very high level of customer satisfaction and repeat buyers.
