Last couple of years, multiples for some of the consulting companies had gone up due to faster growth, y2k relative growth, what have you. I don't have any hard numbers to back this up but I vaguely remember this sector trading at couple of times revenue around 94-95. Now the multiples are much higher.

Could it be that now that y2k is closer, multiples are contracting again. Could explain why the results may be fine but investors still feel the companies have all the good news priced in for next couple of years. Hence, not much movement in price in terms of appreciation.

Comments ???
