I think Kurlak is losing his clout. He used to be pretty consistent in his comments, but lately he appears to be pretty self-serving to the needs of ML big accounts.

Wasn't that long ago he had nice things to say about semis. Once clients unloaded positions, all of a sudden he was calling for a 200 SOXX. He has been very inconsistent. One could make a point either way right now about what stage the recovery is in, and easily back it up. ML clients haven't accumulated enough cheap shares yet, so he is slowing down a market segment that was just beginning to show signs of taking off.

He has lost my confidence. Not because he isn't a raging semi bull, but because he keeps whip-sawing the market with inconsistent statements. Maybe he is grooming himself to replace Greenspan? Fed-Speak and Analyst-Speak aren't that far apart.
