And trading-wise, I think we're looking at $38 by Aug. 15, minimum.

Yes, I think there will be shares exchanged at that price in August, possibly even over $40 if iMacs sell well....

No, it won't hold there, just like it didn't hold at $30 back in May. It wasn't until two months later that if revisited that price, with stronger fundamentals. This time it held there.

If you look at the chart, AAPL has been building this type of support levels for quite a while:

$16-17 in February 1998
$24-25 in March/April 1998
$26-27 in June 1998
$31-32 in July 1998.

The next support level will be at around $33-35 until next quarter figures/actual iMac sales figures are released.

My year end target still at $35-40. Of course solid iMac sales to non Apple users would necessitate an upward revision to that projection...

p.s. I'm still long in Apple. I thought about day-trading during the latest fall and rise but decided against it...

Marc, as we've now seen, Apples goal is 400,000 by Xmas. The millions - don't know where that comes from. The U.S. market will lead the overseas markets in sales at least for the rest of this year. I think we should assume no more than 150,000 this qtr. I think the iMac will take the steam out of the AIO sales somewhat, so assume around 125,000 since it is back to school qtr. This gives us 275,000 low end machines. As to high end. Sales could easily slow to Alomex's figures. The refresh needs to occur quickly but I wonder if Apple has the manufacturing capabilitity to handle iMac as well as major G3 refresh. I'm quite impressed with Anderson so I'm willing to believe Apple will be able to achieve slight qtr to qtr revenue growth and slight unit sales increase qtr to qtr. Wouldn't count on much though, considering this is a difficult transitional qtr with product releases occuring well into the qtr. December qtr remains the big one.

As regards the stock price, we've held up well. May see one more dip but I agree with Alomex and Phillip this time. We may very well test 38-40 soon. Rich
