Jim P., ..Re:<<The stock market cares about making lofty expactions.>>

Simple question - which company is more likely to make lofty expectations? (notice the spelling of expectations) One similar to that quoted in Drew Swiss's previous post?

"What Dell has done is figure out to run its business with almost no outside capital," says Legg Mason's Randy Befumo. "There's just very little net money that's invested...and it's generating just a ton of cash."

Jim, I know this has been stated before, but maybe Dell is a story stock similar to Walmart when it first started out. Neither you nor I can say when this will end, but based on the company's past performance, and current eco conditions, I'm guessing it has a significant ways to go. I know you're betting otherwise so good luck but don't you just hate being referred to as a loser?<VBG> (don't take personally)

Regards,

Lee

Jim-

Including the famous 1st Quarter "disappointment" you like to mention so often, the stock is up 70% in less than 4 months....Even if one bought in at the peak of the May price move (98 1/4) and held....that person is up 10% in a little over 2 months.....so give this one a rest, will you?

Yes, Jim, all stocks go up and down, even the greatest stock of the last 10 years...

JP,

>> One thing is for sure.
The stock market does not care about Econ 101.
The stock market cares about making lofty expactions.

Interesting that you make the point that the market doesn't care about econ 101, which is true, but YOU keep repeating the 'history' theory, which the market also doesn't care about!

The consistency to be inconsistent about which written material one chooses to quote is, to say the least, consistently interesting!
