<Short sellers thrive in these times and they're relentless>

Short sellers may be relentless, but they are also short-lived. The shorters on the YHOO thread are always turning over and you never tend to see the same names for more than a month or two. I wonder what happens to them...

As to stop loss orders. Read the book, "How I made Two Million Dollars in the Stock Market" by Charles Darvis [a dancer---written in the 1950's]. He pioneered stop loss orders and they worked well then---but not today. Read "The Wall Street Jungle" to find out why. The MM's love to run the stops--free money to them. You need to keep track of the price without disclosing your sell point to the MM's. Running stops is actually a main reason for today's market volatility, a volatility that can be used to a trader's advantage.

You might seriously consider getting back into SEEK. Check the MACD and RSI indicators that are showing screaming buy signals at this time.

Best of luck,

Jeff
