As we discussed last week, the degree of bounce would set the intermediate tone for the market. Since the bounce on Monday was minimal, the upshot was a negative character for the market. So far that character has manifested itself. I wish I had followed my own analysis more carefully.

Bob,

Great post..

To what extent do you buy into this sentiment that we are seeing?

For the time that I have been following the market, it seems that this is a mini cycle inside of a fair market. I cant bite the enchilada myself, beacuse to say that we are seeing a bear market isnt somthing light or easy to toss out. The last bear market was in the 80's (true bear) And it was in response to other factors, recessionary pressures, interest rates etc.

Maybe I am under estimating this, but it seems to me that this might be CNBC's flavor of the month, somthing to talk about, and I am believing more and more that for now we arent going to 15,000 but I cannot buy in to the 8,000 area yet either..

Robert Re "Observe and learn by using the novices as examples of what not to do"

I am a novice and I'm getting a strong urge to sell. I think if the
the market drifts down this way for another 2 days, novices like
me are going to brood over the weekend and decide to get out on
Monday.

So should I do the opposite - to avoid getting my head handed to me<g>?

Best Regards

I've got a buy point on INTC ~78. What's your thinking on that?

AMAT also looks like a sell.
