Moonray, to that extent, a number of larger firms are taking extraordinary measures to help their smaller vendor/suppliers.

As an example, they are writing in strict contract riders in which the smaller firm agrees to implement specific Y2K readiness stages by specific target dates in order to keep their contracts open. Where it is needed, larger firms are even sending teams of their own IT people over to the smaller vendor/supplier to assist. The idea is that the large company itself gets hosed if the smaller firms they depend on for materials and services don't have it together after the Mother of All New Year's Eve Parties.
