Jim,
I think you should take a look at a chart of longterm book values for the market.
At the bottom of 1074, Price to sales was like .5 for the S&P.
Yes that means some were higher, but some were a lot lower too.

I think 5 times is a bit agressive.
You have to remember, in a bear market, no one is optimistic about anything.
And a hardware company ain't much to get excited about.

Dell already spends 70 cents of every cash flow dollar repurchasing stock. What else could you ask for?
