On the Yahoo board a bunch of idiots are panicing because of a 1000 share trade at 11 3/4 . GMGC traded lower than that most of the morning! They also forgot to mention the trade was late and out of sequince! Dont let these buffoons influence your decision! Im interested in the timing of this announcement its out of the way and good news can follow un-impeaded!! Sandwhiched in between reseller and official rollout of Portico is a major league play for Markman!

I suspect it will be released before the market opens, 6:30PST.

Markman did say on the CC that it will be announced tomorrow. He also said there were indications that some of the carriers wanted to move into market trials faster than expected. And, maybe I'm reading too much into this, but, I noticed he said "working with device manufacturers to incorporate elements of Portico" at least twice if not three times. Perhaps we'll get an announcement along that line before Comdex.

I couldn't gauge the interest of the analysts. Gruntal asked which features were most popular. I suspect he's trying to value the Portico package vs. the simplified solutions on the market. The PW guy clearly hasn't read the previous press releases since he didn't understand the Marketing strategy. He also asked about competitors that exist today - Markman said "no one does what we do". That's great, but it's obvious that they need to better educate the analysts and probably the market. BT Alex asked about redundancy.

On another note, something I found humorous from theStreet.com in an article on SRCM:

"The problem with today's market is that it's not just the fundamentals you have to look at anymore," he says. "The company's conference call was made up of mostly questions from mom, pop and Internet Joe." Unterbach says that even though his firm only has two traders, he hired someone to monitor the Internet chat boards for over 20 hours a week. "The chat boards have changed the playing field."
