Mr. Fortune--The fate of MTEI depends on what the SEC finds. Assuming they find nothing wrong the stock will resume trading and it will likely be taken as a validation of the company claims. If they do find serious problems, action (Read prosecution here) will be taken against some or all of the company officers. In the case of something very serious being found they will likely allow trading again (even BRE-X was allowed to trade again after the scam was discovered), but it will be a sort of clearing of the boards with the only buying being done by some shorts covering their positions and everyone else seeking to bail. For what it is worth the SEC does not move on stocks because some 'bashing' has occurred on a company on some talk threads. They do so because they have investigated and found some serious wrongs or implications of wrong doing. As to what prompted the investigation it is hard to say but almost assuredly it was not stock bashing. Pick a company on SI, you can almost certainly find someone calling into question the rosy predictions of someone else. The SEC is seeking to protect investors. The problem is if one is already invested you may feel (and very well may be) stuck. The main protection you may end up receiving is not buying more of it. This is very bad news, particularly for a BB stock. There will likely be a long investigation and if history is any guide to this sort of action something serious will be found wrong. I don't like seeing people get caught in these things, I am sorry it has happened. All the Best Druss
