dude,
Waasup! Looks like AMD is headed into the single digits!!

Looks like the MORE K6's AMD produces, the MORE LOSSES AMD has.

Lesson for Jerry Sanders. Produce LESS K6's.

Did anyone else notice this bit:
>>
The source said that towards the end of August, AMD will introduce a 350MHz K6-2 chip, and that will be followed soon after by the K6-2Plus and the K6-3Plus. Those will arrive towards year-end.
<<

So there's 4 varieties of K6: K6 classic, K6-2, K6-2+, and K6-3+. I wonder what a K6-2+ is. If it's the one with on-chip L2 cache, then what's a K6-3+?

Jim

Maxwell,

Re: "From what I heard from the "pool", the K7 architecture is very similar
to the Digital 21264."

Back to HYPE'ing the K7 and Alpha, Maxwell ... It's good to see you stop
your silly technology posts. "A man has to know his limitations" <ggg>
