Rman, as always an interesting post and thanks for the info. My current interest in Biotechs are INCY, BTRN, CORR and of course XOMA. Do you think we will see a buying spree by big Pharmas in the near future since prices of some Biotechs versus possible potential are so cheap? Think of the goldmine a big Pharma would have in INCY and as you know price is cheap right now and possible future streams just keep rolling in without notice. I guess what I am really asking is why are there not more deals currently like buyout of SMTG by Baxter?

Rocket,
I trust that I didn't _incyte_ the powers that be into sending me into the land of the banished.
After seeing Mr Bluegreens posts on a number of threads about XOMA, including your own famous VD thread, I do not believe that his questions were designed to learn anything, hence my sarcastic response. Bluegreen has already made up his mind that this is a multi-billion dollar drug.

This specific deal on a micro level doesn't mean much. The much larger implications are whether there are literally tons of similar deals to be done in the coming years for INCY. Hand off a patent for small royalties and small warrant positions. The value of this could be astronomical looking forward 10+ years. If this is indeed the case, INCY is in the famous cat bird seat.
