Donald,you said:

<<that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime," Of course they were afflicted during WWII and then returned to the a place of their own. Some day they will be afflicted no more.>>

Who shall we assume are the children of wickedness before 1948? Everyone but Israel? And who is afflicting them now?

What about the rest of the world Donald? Do we act like there has been no one around since Jesus but Jewish folks and those that hate Jewish folks?. There are others that were afflicted also. As a reminder look at a few of the following examples:

In all, 2,300 Americans and an estimated 10,000 Filipinos died on the infamous Bataan Death March.

The V Corps at Omaha, suffering 2,500 casualties, held a precarious one-mile-deep strip of coastline

The entire British Second Army had lost less than 3,000 men

Within 10 minutes of hitting the beach, Company A, 116th Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, suffered 96 percent killed or wounded.

On 17 August 1943 American patrols pushed into Messina, and the campaign reached a successful conclusion. Axis losses in the campaign were around 167,000 killed, wounded, and captured, including some 10,000 German casualties. Allied losses were 31,158.

The Americans suffered some 75,000 casualties in the Battle of the Bulge,

Of course I could go on and on but to sum up:

The figures in the charts below are only estimated. Note that 'N/A' does not represent no casualties, it represents an unknown number of casualties.

Greetings Dll, and all who love the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you Dll for your response. I agee whole heartedly with you Dll that " my people Israel " refers to national Israel. That is what I attempted to say when I described the difficult times that " Israel " came through with the " Judges, prior to this time of peace and prosperity they would enjoy under Davids reign in Jerusalem. 2 Sam. 7:10 describes this time during Davids reign. Are you in agreement with this DLL ?. I then stated that this verse " could " quite possibly be giving us foreshadows of another Kingdom that would be established in the minds and hearts of men. Let us always be aware that the main theme throughout the Old Testament, was the fullfillment of the promise made to Abraham, ( Gen 12:3 ), the promise of the Messiah,( the Lord Jesus Christ ) who would bless all nations. Please keep this thought in the forefront of your mind when we are studying the Old Testament. The Old Testament can only be properly understood in " Light " of the New Testament. The Old testament saints caught glimpses of what God had planned for His Salvation of mankind, We, ( the Church ) however, born of the Spirit, having the mind of Christ, can look back through the eyes of the Holy Spirit and see the beautiful plan of Redemption woven throughout all the Old Testament Books and prophesies. Does this answer your questions satisfactory DLL. ? If you have any more questions please respond tonight, as I would like to proceed with Gods reply to Daniels prayer for the nation of Israel. I have some free time tomorrow afternoon to prepare for tomorrow night. Indeed DLL, it is good that we can reason together, and thank you also for your contribution for that. Grace and peace be unto you and the Bride of Christ. Robert
