CS First Boston looks at technology
CBS MarketWatch - Last Update: 12:38 PM ET Jul 30, 1998

Technology stocks got a boost after CS First Boston initiated coverage of
Altera Corp. (ALTR), Texas Instruments (TXN), Micron Technology
(MU) and Intel Corp. (INTC) with "buy" ratings and Artisan Components
(ARTI) with a "strong buy" rating.

Shares of Altera rose 1 to 37 3/8, Texas Instruments 3/4 to 59 3/8, Micron
Tech 3/4 to 31, Intel 1 3/8 to 86 and Artisan 5/8 to 12 3/8.

CS First Boston also initiated VLSI Technology (VLSI), National
Semiconductor (NSM) and LSI Logic (LSI) with "hold" ratings.

Since you probably didn't win the powerball...wrong state, I just hope one of those other more probable cases didn't occur.<g>

If you are still around LSI is showing strength at 21 3/4 with over 208K in 20 minutes. Time for semis to wake up although SOXX only up 1.8 or .7%.

I just see a select tech rally with LSI picking up steam along with MU.

What does your chicken bones and turnips show.:-)
