e-mail..LHSPF.. my best candidate for "dead cat bounce" is LHSPF. I don't think this is necessarily a daytrade but should provide short term or swing trade.
The downgrade did it in today, but I expect it to rebound especially after the news at 7:10 p.m.

INTERVIEW-L&H trending to beat estimates
BOSTON, July 29 (Reuters) - Lernout & Hauspie Speech Products NV Chief Executive Gaston Bastiaens said on Wednesday results from the first half point towards the company beating Wall Street estimates for the full year.
''Absolutely,'' Bastiaens said in a phone interview when asked if he was comfortable with estimates. ''If you see our performance the first two quarters, we have beaten the figures, so just see the trend and it should be no issue there.''

According to a survey by First Call, analysts expect on average earnings per share of $0.77 for 1998, with a range of $0.73 to $0.80, up from $0.51 in 1997.

''We have for nine quarters in a row beat all the Street expectations, and we see very strong growth going forward,'' Bastiaens said.

In September, L&H will launch Voice Express Professional, speech recognition dictation software for the corporate market which will be compatible with Microsoft (MSFT - news) Word and Microsoft Office. Voice Express Professional will retail for more than $100, he said.
