<<Now, Nokia is racing ahead, looking after customers like crazy while, according to Tero, Ericsson has left a gap in their product development.>>

Ericsson has in the past deferred the short-term to secure more for the long-term haul. I don't believe their philosophy has changed. Others scoffed when they invested so heavily in their R&D. Specifically, in handsets, there are not-so-far in the future innovations we'll see incorporated into handsets. I'm betting Ericsson is involved and we'll see the results in 2 years or less.

That and anything more is merely speculation on my part but reasonable inferences can be drawn. If Ericsson hasn't marketed handsets that currently compete with Nokia maybe there's a method to their madness.
