bb, not to jump in someone else's debate, but regardless of the arguments, Bob F's long positions sound like fundamental value plays not new era, "can't put a price tag on growth" plays. Sounds like a relatively safe place to be if one must be long.

Bob F., have you published a list of your value picks? Gotta put my put profits somewhere after the crash.<G>

I do try to keep an open mind.I hear alot of crash talk for just coming off new highs.

Old era had correction too.

I don't think this will be easy - but if you've been where I've been -the last year has been Oct of 87 already.Correction is anything over 10%.!0 % my ^ss.Stocks I've been buying are down 65 -75 % and making a profit not like Amadog.com or the internuts.

Owners of these speculation plays have coming to them a nightmare and they deserve it.

I'm intentionally looking for the stocks that resist the down market that is deservedly being doled out.

These will be tomorrows winners!

Our gov't isn't going to queer the goose that laid the capital gains golden goose.

One item no one talks about is the capital gains time change that just got passed with the IRS Bill (rolled 20 % rate back to 12 months vs 18).We are experiencing some tax ramification selling that has been pent up.That is new tax law not new era investing.

JMHO and thank you for your straight up opinion - it is valued.!
