Thanks Metman, that is the sort of thing I like to see. George Gilder quite succinctly and authoritatively lays it out. I was surprised to see an IP stack was put in way back in 1989. Talk about prescient! Eudora is bullet proof on the bugs, with Microsoft and Netscape virus prone even if you receive an email. A shame about not making the proxy server business work with Eudora but I think that will be a minor market problem. Few people would have two computers linked with only one modem operating both. A virus in the subject title of an email is a nightmare. CNN did a spiel on it a few hours ago, but again, no mention of good old reliable Q.com and Eudora Pro. Jon, thanks for the gasoline guff. It surprises me that actual volume pumped into cars is down 9% and I suspect it is rather the bulk product shipped to terminals which was down 9%. They said volumes were at a high the week or so before. Crude oil prices have been leaping around and I suspect inventory buying on the dips more than car consumption being down. But perhaps people are driving less as well. That's great - they'll drive less, but go right on buying cellphones and cheap minutes. Inflation won't worry Alan Green$pan with impoverished Californians giving up driving so he'll print like mad. What a wonderful world. Meanwhile, only a day to go before $80 per share. Wow! There are a lot of shorts, so I guess they have been planning a lemming Yahoolian short squeeze last man out game of chicken in the Q.com zone. This I'll have to watch! I bet many of you don't think it is going to happen. IP on PalmPilot Web phone, cdma2000. Drool, slurp... Mqurice PS: Meanwhile, today Microsoft sold me Windows 98, which is nice, fast and better. Also a cute little rodent, with a scrolling knob, the same as I have on the QCP820. Now if Q.com were like Motorola, they'd sue Microsoft for trade dress or plastic housing copying [eeeek, I hope the mouse toggle roller didn't come before the QCP820]. So Microsoft profits should be rolling on ahead pending the onslaught of Anita [TM] in a year or two.
