"7) Jews that identify with thier cultural heritage and simultaneously profess to love and recognize Jesus are really trying to keep others from Christ"

No, I don't believe that! I do not judge the personal salvation of anyone who says he accepts Christ. Their words and doctrines are something else.
I see no problem with the former cultural heritage of any individual so long as their former heritage does not deny Christ, preach against Christ and contradict the Word . Any part of a new Christian's past heritage that conflicts with Christ and his Church should be abandoned. This is just as much for the spiritual health of the new Christian as it is for the Church as a whole.
In order to grow into the fullness of the Christian faith, we must have a teachable spirit. Hanging on to false cultural elements can be very harmful to that process. The same applies to people baptized in their youth but who have acquired the false cultural elements of their society while growing up.( that one applies to me)
False cutlural elements have a tendency to stick to us like glue. The requires the Holy Spirit's for us to rid ourselves of these destructive elements.
The Lord tels us "be ye not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may know what is good, acceptable and perfect will of God.(Rom.12) This scripture sets the tone for my belief on the matter.

"For as many as are lead by the Spirit of God, are the sons of God"

Are you lead by the Spirit of God Thomas, or are you lead by the cultural or socially constructed elements of religion? Jesus in our hearts is the difference. If we confess Jesus with our mouths and we believe in our hearts that God has raised him from the dead, we shall be saved.

"There are so many subleties the conversations and weaving of bible quotes that I've really gotton kind of lost."

Behind all the subtleties and weaving and twisting of coversations, there is one underlying principle---God loves us enough to dies for our sins so we can be reconciled to Him. He was completely righteous but he was judged a sinner and wrongdoer on our account, and we being completely sinnful were judged righteous through his blood. Now that is great news.
It is very simple to enter into the light and life of God---simply believe in Jesus.

You once said you were an Orthodox believer. Are you a real believer with Christ living in your heart, or a pew warmer who loves the tingly feeling of a well done ritual---<gg>

In Christ
