Somewhat O.T.

Is anyone else getting tired of Maria Bartiromo ignoring CPQ in her morning pre-market reports? For the second morning in a row she mentioned skeighty-eight million tech stocks that all are showing up trends pre-market and did not mention Compaq. We all know it opened up yesterday and I'm sure it will today if other techs are. What is her problem with CPQ?

Off Topic!
David,

<<Shawn,

Best post I have read on SI over the last two years.

Thanks >>

Your very welcome! I would rather keep the discussion
of this thread on Compaq and its potential as a stock..,
but one can only listen to so many big mouth liberals
defending the many, many illegal actions of Bill Clinton,
as nothing more than infidelity...! It did have one side
benefit though, as Bill Clinton's defenders are usually
either government employees (taxpayer supported)
or liberal college professors that will do anything to
maintain their status quo...and since they know nothing
about making a living in the private sector...you can
take their opinion on any stock with a grain of salt :)

Take care,
Shawn

ON TOPIC!

That article on Yahoo about Compaq being approached
about selling Alta Vista, and Compaq indicating that they
have their own big plans for the search engine and that
they already have direct access buttons on their computers
is going to make this stock hot...I wonder if anyone can
find out how soon Compaq is going to capitalize on this
newly acquired and very hot asset??Did DEC get any
substantial licensing revenue or user fees from the sites
that use Alta Vista...they certainly can make some very
substantial revenues from advertising at the site (like Yahoo
has done at its' site)...now that they have acquired the
domain: www.Alta-vista.com..as for big money advertising..
.it all comes down to how many million hits per day a site gets
and who the audience is... and Alta Vista is the best search
engine for serious research, so in my opinion it attracts the
highest caliber audience!
